IMPORTANT DATES
HSE Freshman Choice Deadline - December 5, 2025
For the 2026-2027 school year, current 8th graders have the option to attend a high school that is outside of their residential boundary. If your student will attend the high school assigned to them based on your current address, you do NOT need to complete an application. To view the current high school boundaries, please refer to the map below. Please note that the Freshman Choice Application must be completed by December 5, 2025. More information may be found on the HSE enrollment page.
Academic Planning Night - January 15
Parents of incoming freshman are invited to attend the Academic Planning night to hear information related to graduation requirements and academic programs at FHS.
Tiger 2030 - Freshman Visits
Incoming freshman will visit as a group during the school day (9:30 am - 11:30 am) on either January 22nd or 23rd. Students will participate in building tours and learn more about the culture at Fishers High School. They will have an opportunity to talk with current students and hear from a panel of students and staff.
*If your student is not currently enrolled in an HSE district junior high but would like to attend a preview day, please reach out to Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Stiller to participate.
Scheduling Meetings
January 2026. There will be two parent webinar opportunities. Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Stiller will host informational sessions on the new diploma requirements and how incoming 9th graders are guided on requesting courses. No registration needed! Simply join using the provided Teams meeting link. Use the Microsoft Teams app for easiest access. The same information will be provided in both sessions.
February 2026. Students meet one-on-one with their 9th grade counselor at their junior high school. During this meeting, course requests are reviewed and checked by Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Stiller. If your student is not currently enrolled in an HSE district junior high school, please contact Mr. Curtis (last names starting with A – K) or Mrs. Stiller (last names L – Z) to schedule a time to meet for scheduling in early March.
March – April 2026. Parents are invited to sign up for meetings with their 9th grade counselor for further guidance on their student’s selection of courses. Meetings may be virtual on Teams or in-person at FHS. Invitations to sign up will be sent via email at the end of February.
May 31st. Course requests are finalized in Skyward. Changes in course requests after this date are subject to the guidelines in the student handbook and may not be granted.
