General School News

FHS READS-Get Rewarded for Your Reading

Attention FHS Students. You can now get a chance to win a $10 Amazon Gift Card with every book you read and rate through the FHS Library. Simply read a book, fill out the form, and you are entered. You will be included in a pizza party if you choose to read at least 5 Eliot Rosewater books (https://bit.ly/34RSPzT). The more you read, the more entries you have. Stop by the library for more information.

Winter Dance

Mark your calendars for Friday, March 13th 7-9 PM. FHS will be hosting the Winter Dance in the Aux Gym.

Scholarship Information

Uniform Application for Community Scholarships (UACS)

Seniors, the Uniform Application for Community Scholarships is available now! Look for the “Uniform App-Comm Scholarships” link on the front page of the FHS website. This online application is a great way to apply for many local scholarships offered by Fishers and Hamilton County community organizations as well as the Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation. Application deadline is March 18th. More information is available in Guidance.

Scholarship Opportunities

Seniors, new scholarships are available. The Hamilton County Extension Health and Human Sciences Scholarship is for seniors planning on majoring in the fields of Health and Human Sciences or Elementary Education at Purdue. Apply by March 1st. The Watercolor Society Scholarship is for seniors planning to pursue a degree in either fine arts, arts education or an art related field. Apply by March 6th. The ISTA Scholarship is for seniors who have a parent or grandparent that is a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association. Apply by April 1st. Please visit the FHS website, Naviance or the Guidance Office for more details.

Seniors, more scholarships are available. The Hamilton County Artists’ Association Scholarship is for seniors planning to major in a field of fine arts as an art major. Apply by March 13th. The Carmel American Legion Scholarship is for seniors who have a parent or grandparent that is a Legion Post #155 member. Apply by March 15th. The Old Town Design Group Scholarship is for seniors planning to major in a housing-related program such as Construction Management or Engineering. Apply by March 18th. Club Information

BC2M Club Meeting

Did you know that if you are a registered BC2M club member, you get a FREE one-year subscription to Headspace? What is Headspace you might ask? It is a mindfulness app that includes exercises to help you fall asleep, short activities to help calm your stress in school, and even performance exercises that are sponsored by the NBA. The national BC2M club partners with Headspace to support mental health of ALL students. Come to our next club meeting to learn more on March 10th after school in H111.

Lifeguard Training

Become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard by taking a course beginning March 22. Registration is available in the FHS Athletic office. Deadline to sign up is March 16th.
