General School News

SAFE-Student Alliance for Equity meetings

The student alliance for equity will be meeting on the following dates in the library at 3 PM- 4PM. Sept. 3, Sept. 10, Oct. 1, Oct. 10, Nov. 5, Nov. 19, and Dec. 10. This Club was established to EMPOWER STUDENTS TO UNDO RACISM, BIAS, STEREOTYPES, AND JUDGEMENT. Attend if you would like to learn and participate.

Senior Shirts

The 2020 Class Shirts are now ready for purchase. There are 4 options: a T-Shirt, Long Sleeve, Crewneck and Hoodie. The link for the shirts can be found under the 2020 Senior Class module in Canvas. All orders are due by October 4th, but it is better to order sooner than later. You do NOT need to make an account to buy a shirt. All spirit wear should be in by the end of October. Lifeguards Needed for Physical Education Classes

Certified Lifeguards are needed to lifeguard for physical education classes. If you have a current lifeguard certification and would like to earn extra money during the school day there are lifeguard positions available periods one through six. Please see Mrs. Shafer in G183 if you are interested in the positions.

Showcase your talent at the Tiger Talent Show

Tigers, do you have a special talent that you'd like to showcase for a tiger audience? Sign up for the Tiger Talent show! Pick up a form from Mrs. Druelinger in A205 or Mr. Poisel in H230. The show is homecoming week, 9/26 4-5 in the CCA.

Course Fees

Student Course Fees are due By October 11th. Payments can be dropped off at the Book Store (located in the Library). thank you ~ Mrs. Mason

Ski and Snowboard Club

The second call-out meeting for Ski and Snowboard Club will be this Thursday, the 26th, at 7am in H119. Space is limited so if you are interested, please plan to attend! Contact Mr. Beasley or Mrs. Caré with questions.

Hamilton County College Fair

Do you want to get a jumpstart on your college and career future? Plan on attending the Hamilton County College Fair on Tuesday, September 24th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton Southeastern High School. Over 80 colleges and universities will be represented. All interested students and parents are invited to attend !

Case Western Reserve Diversity Overnight

Case Western Reserve is inviting high school seniors from diverse backgrounds to attend Diversity Overnight on November 10th and 11th. Take an in-depth look at the opportunities available at Case. Meet students and faculty, attend classes and tour the campus. Meals, lodging, and travel expenses will be provided. Apply at https://case.edu/admission/diversity-overnight by October 1st.

Purdue University Women in Engineering

Are you a female junior or senior interested in exploring engineering at Purdue? Plan on attending a comprehensive engineering experience at Purdue on Monday, October 14th. Tour the campus and engineering labs, learn about admissions and academics, and network with faculty, alumni and students. Parents are welcome too. Register online at www.purdue.edu/wiep

HBCU College Fair

All interested students and parents are invited to attend the 40th Annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) College Fair on Thursday, September 26th from 6 to 9 p.m. at Crispus Attucks High School. Seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher are also invited to attend the Scholarship Opportunity Network sponsored by the Indianapolis Black Alumni Council on Friday, September 27th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information and to register, visit www.ibacindy.com

University of Saint Francis Open House Day

Interested in learning more about University of Saint Francis? Plan on attending the USF Open House Day on Saturday, September 28th.
