Targeted Instruction

What is Targeted Instruction?

At Fishers High School, Targeted Instruction an academic support period built into the school day occurring during Block 8 on designated Silver Days.

  • Students may be assigned to work with a teacher during T.I. up until the beginning of Block 6 (appx 10:00 am) on Silver days. 
  • At the start of 6th block, students will be prompted to check Enriching Students to see where they have been assigned.
  • Parents can also check their student's assigned T.I. location by logging into their Enriching Students account. 
  • If a student is assigned, attendance at the teacher's session is REQUIRED. Absences will be unexcused unless reported to the attendance office by a parent.  
  • If students are not assigned by a teacher, the student still must indicate a location in Enriching Students by assigning themselves (ex. a teacher's classroom, a common study space, or off campus). 
  • All freshmen will be required to stay on campus during Targeted Instruction, which means freshmen will either be working in a teacher's classroom or they can sign themselves up to work independently in a supervised study space (Cafe A). For students in grades 10-12, the aforementioned options exist, or students in grades 10-12 can also choose to study off-campus if not requested to work with a teacher. 
  • In order for a student to study off campus, a parent/guardian must provide permission in Skyward Online Forms. This permission form only needs to be completed once for the whole year.
  • Students must have their school/student ID scanned to leave the building during T.I. The only doors that students can exit during this time are FH7, FH9, and FH19. Please know that there will be not student exits at door FH1. 
  • School bus transportation will run on a normal schedule for all T.I. days (3:05 pm departure).
